Synopsis

Characters: Elliot- detective in the office
Helena - Colleague running mission
Emily Shrampton - dysfunctional Sister

Story Outline

Elliot and Helena are working for a small police detective organisation on the case to discover more about the death of a young man called Christopher who was found suspiciously dead in his flat in Oxford.

All they know is that he had a girlfriend who he lived with, and worked for Direct Publishing, little is known about his family background but Elliot discovered that his childhood was very dysfunctional, and he has a sister who lives in Oxford. They are not close, since their parents died they never saw each other. Elliot and Helena's mission was to find out more about Christopher's only remaining relative, Emily Shrampton, by getting in contact with her as the girlfriend of her recently dead brother.

Emily Shrampton is a mysterious character who nobody knows very much about. She's the result of her terrible childhood: lonely, druggy, an emotional wreck, schizophrenic, suicidal...
Elliot and Helena think by learning more about her, they may be able to draw conclusions on Christopher's girlfriend. This is dangerous because if Emily realises the police are after her she might jumo to conclusions and up trying to kill herself as a result.

The film opens with Helena, waiting in Oxford, University Parks to meet up with Emily (who thinks she's meeting her broher's girlfriend). Helena and Elliot have contact via phone and Elliot is running the mission from his office. In the opening you don't meet Emily, but as Elliot describes her conditions/health/past to Helena, you get flash backs of Emily in a terrible, mental, schizophrenic state (black and white fuzzy).
